Acoustic consultation for spaces where sound has to work
We assess the space, specify the treatment, and stay on the project while your team builds it.

Why acoustic consultation
Why acoustic consultation
Most spaces are designed around how they look and how they will be used. Acoustics is a separate field, and sits outside what a civil engineer, interior designer or architect is trained for.
If the space is still on paper, you have the most to gain. Proportions, wall construction, and isolation are all still decisions.
If the space is already standing, the problem is usually specific. Voices that do not carry. Music that turns muddy at volume. Noise from the road or the floor above.
As expert acoustic consultants, we understand, analyse and tell you what the space needs.
This service is for you if you want us to specify the acoustic requirements, so your team builds to a plan rather than a guess.

How acoustic consultation works
1. Listen
A home theater, a recording studio, and an auditorium are three different acoustic problems. Before anything else, we need to know what will happen in the space, how many people it holds, and what it needs to sound like.
2. Assess
We look at room ratio, room modes and boundary interference, and at what the room is up against from outside. Traffic, aircraft, a railway line nearby, plant machinery. Airborne noise and structural vibration are separate problems and are solved separately.

3. Design review
Your architect shares the drawings. We work through them and mark what needs to change, what can stay, and where acoustic treatment has to be accounted for in the build rather than added afterwards.
4. Specifications
Where absorption is required and at what frequencies, how much of the room should stay live, where isolation is needed, and which acoustic materials are suitable. Over-absorbed rooms fail as surely as untreated ones, so this includes what not to do as much as what to do.
5. Project review
Regular calls, and site visits at the stages that matter. Most of what goes wrong in execution goes wrong quietly. It is far cheaper to catch it while the room is open.
At the end of the consultation you have:
Acoustic assessment of the space
Architectural drawings review
Material and treatment specification
Review calls and site visits through execution
Acoustic consultation for every space
Acoustic consultation for every space

Home theater acoustics
Immersive spaces where every detail, from dialogue to low-end impact, can be experienced as intended.

Recording studio acoustics
Rooms designed to capture performances without unwanted room colour or outside noise.

Mixing and mastering studio acoustics
A room where the balance you hear holds up everywhere else it gets played.

Auditorium acoustics
Spaces designed so speech, music, and performance reach the audience clearly and consistently.

Conference room acoustics
Acoustic environments that make speech clearer and conversations easier to follow.

Frequently asked questions
1. Can you work alongside our architect?
Yes. That is how most consultations run. Your architect keeps the project. We plan for the acoustics and hand over requirements they can build into the drawings.
2. Our space is already built. Is it too late?
3.Do you visit the site?
4. Do you supply materials in a consultation?
5. How much does an acoustic consultation cost?
6. Can you design and build the project as well?

Acoustic design
We design how the space will sound and how it will look, resolved together. Panel design, layout, materials and finishes, with a 3D visualisation before anything is built.

Acoustic work
We build it. Design, panels from our own workshop, isolation, installation, finishing and handover, delivered by our own crew.
